This new product is characterized by a high level of opacity and reflection, with only 0.1% Light Transmission and 55% Light Reflection. It is best suited for mirrored wall-fixed applications, and shows great durability even in high humidity environments.
With its ultra low transparency, MIRASTAR® REFLECT can be easily applied to any opaque surface. As there is no risk of glue spots showing through, the glass can be installed without prior lacquering or primer: a significant saving in time and costs for glass professionnals. MIRASTAR® REFLECT is thus ideal for high reflective wall coverings, such as kitchen splashbacks, closet doors, elevator cabins etc.
MIRASTAR® REFLECT comes as a new product in the MIRASTAR® range, now composed of MIRASTAR® and MIRASTAR® REFLECT.
MIRASTAR® is Saint-Gobain’s first mirror-effect glass. With 3% Light Transmission, it is characterized by a versatile mirror effect and benefits from incredible optical properties. Shifting according to the lighting environment, it is a real chameleon : at times acting like a mirror, it reflects and diffuses light in all the room; at other times rather transparent, it allows to see through. This spy mirror functionality is a great asset to conceal or reveal a room at will, also allowing to see through the glass without being seen.
Available in 4, 6 and 8mm and in jumbo size, the MIRASTAR® range allows for all kinds of mirroring and see-through functionalities. Office or living room partitions, dressing rooms, shower screens, mirrors, splashbacks.. the applications can be declined endlessly for striking mirror effects.
The range is a reference in highly reflective glazing. Classified A along the European standard EN1096-1, MIRASTAR® and MIRASTAR® REFLECT benefit from high corrosion resistance and optimal durability. The MIRASTAR® glass range is also temperable, meeting safety standards for furniture, building and transportation applications.
