Championing Safety and Quality for 20 Years: A Pinnacle in Professional Practices and Industry Advancement
Safety and Quality Forum (SQF), a pivotal division of the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), has been at the forefront for two decades, promoting knowledge and awareness in safety and quality across the country.
Established in 1920 and awarded the Royal Charter in 1935, IEI, with over 9 lakh members, stands as the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers in India.
Situated at IEI, Delhi Centre, SQF, since its inception in 2003, has aimed to instil a culture of safety and quality through ethical and professional practices. The mission is to create a productive and sustainable working environment while optimizing resource usage. SQF collaborates with government bodies, local authorities, and educational institutions to enforce rules, conduct audits, and develop courses in safety, reliability, and quality management.
With a pool of senior professionals, SQF engages in consultancy and auditing, focusing on safety audits, electrical safety, fire safety, HAZOP studies, environmental assessment, and emergency preparedness. Actively conducting training programs since 2003, SQF enhances awareness and knowledge in safety and quality, networking with national and international organizations.
The annual Safety and Quality Conventions, featuring Safety and Quality Innovation Awards, recognise organizations for their innovative procedures and outstanding contributions.
The 21st Safety Innovation Convention 2024 is set for September in Delhi, while the 3rd Quality Innovation Convention 2024 will be hosted at the International Automobile Centre of Excellence (IACE), Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, on 11-12 March 2024. SQF continues to be a beacon of excellence, driving engineering practices towards a safer and more quality-centric future.
