In June 2024, the project of Anji “Two Mountains” Future Science and Technology City Culture and Art Center has met an important milestone: the first super glass curtain wall supplied by NorthGlass was successfully hoisted, which is the first piece of glass of nearly 7,000 square meters.
At the project site, workers orderly carried out the lifting work. During the installation process, 13 tons of suction rack was used to connect with the 15 tons of installation mechanical head, which was connected to the car crane through flange to lift the large glass steadily. The surveyor accurately controlled the installation accuracy of the curtain wall through the whole station, and the operator used the auxiliary equipment to realize the accurate entry of the upper and lower ends of the glass, and fixed the glass with the PTFE pad block, and finally successfully completed the installation of the first glass.
The glass curtain wall system structure form of Anji “two mountains” future science and technology city culture art center project is complex, it covers the folding line glass curtain wall, the supporting glass curtain wall, glass rib glass curtain wall, bent glass curtain wall and rectangular tempered glass five forms so on. Main facade height of the bearing line all glass curtain wall is transparent, which is the glass processing records of NorthGlass since the bearing glass curtain wall, and the largest glass is up to 19 meters, it adopts 5 layers of laminated plus insulating plus 2 layers of laminated tempered glass, its weight is 10 tons.
In the transportation and installation of such a large size of glass, NorthGlass has shown its excellent scheduling ability and technical advantages, which provides a strong guarantee for the smooth progress of the project.
Anji “Two Mountains” Future Science and Technology City Culture and Art Center was created by Ma Yansong from MAD Architectural Design Firm and was contracted by China State Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau. The design takes the visual corridor on both sides as the axis layout, and the center of the site is not occupied by huge buildings. The central axis corridor has become an open outdoor platform, providing space for activities and viewing, making the venue full of a sense of ceremony. The high point of the site is pieces of “bamboo leaves” scattered at will, which are stacked at random, covering the tea field, full of sculpture, but also showing a bit of lightness and agility. The lines of the metal “bamboo sheet” roof, like leaf veins, adding a vivid natural atmosphere.
The project of Anji “Two Mountains” Future Science and Technology City Culture and Art Center has a total construction area of nearly 120,000 square meters, which is a key project of Zhejiang Province. The project includes several units, such as the Grand Theater, the International Conference Center, and the Art Training Center, which scattered under the green tea fields and the “bamboo leaf” roof, just like an art landscape of the earth.
The Anji Culture and Art Center is expected to be completed in 2025. With “One Leaf” and “One Tea”, we expect Anji Culture and Art Center to become a bright pearl gathering culture, art and technology in the quiet mountains and rivers, bringing unique experience and enlightenment to the public.
