Expansion of production capacity for sedak tempered+

sedak invests in a new insulating glass production line

sedak, global market leader in glass refining, is expanding its production capacity for sedak tempered+. With the investment in a new insulating glass production line, sedak is further driving the market penetration of sedak tempered+. The new production line is designed for formats up to 6 meters, making anisotropy-free glass more attractive for large-scale projects with repetitive glass sizes.

“The demand for sedak tempered+ is enormous. The anisotropy-free glass has quickly established itself in the market. The first projects featuring ‘tempered+’ quality are currently being installed,” says Kevin Berni, Head of Sales at sedak. “The market confirms that sedak tempered+ is the new quality standard in tempered glass. To meet the growing demand, we will also be offering formats that were previously uncharacteristic for sedak. Our goal is to make this premium quality accessible to a broader market.”

The new insulating glass production line provides sedak with the necessary flexibility and productivity to handle large-volume requests with standard pane sizes. The line is also equipped with a rotating and tilting station, making the integration of toggle systems easier. With this investment, sedak continues to strengthen its role as a technology leader in the market.

Insulating glass without anisotropies

sedak tempered+ is the first tempered glass without visible anisotropies. A patented tempering process enables the production of heat-strengthened and fully tempered glass with optimal optical properties – without the characteristic shimmer of anisotropies. As insulating glass, the anisotropy-free glass meets the high demands of architects for energy efficiency and transparency in glass facades.

sedak will present sedak tempered+ from October 22-25, 2024, at glasstec in Düsseldorf, Germany. The exhibit will be displayed at the glass technology live booth in Hall 11 / B28.
