Around 32,850 Visitors From 71 Countries Attended The Exhibition

On May 27, 2017, the 28th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (CHINA GLASS 2017), organized by Chinese Ceramic Society and contracted by Beijing Zhonggui Exhibition Co., Ltd., came to a successful conclusion.

CHINA GLASS 2017 attracted 32,858 visitors from 71 countries during the exhibition, including 28,397 domestic visitors and 4,461 foreign visitors, accounting for 86% and 14% of the total respectively. There were several visitor groups from abroad, including South Korea, India, Vietnam, Iran and Japan. CHINA GLASS 2017 is steadily promoting its preparation and organizational work based on the concept of professionalization, internationalization and scale-up development. This exhibition showcased innovative development of the global glass industry in all aspects and brought an authoritative and professional platform which covers the whole glass industrial chain. The exhibition took place in 8 halls of the exhibition centre and had an exhibition area up to 106,800 square metres. It was the largest glass event in 2017. 1,001 companies from 33 countries attended the show, including 737 domestic companies and 264 foreign enterprises. Many distinguished guests from home and abroad were present at the event, including Mr. Qiao Longde, President of China Building Materials Federation, Mr. Xu Yongmo, President of Chinese Ceramic Society, Mr Zhang Renwei, Honorary President of Chinese Ceramic Society, Mr. Sun Xiangyuan, Secretary-General of China Building Materials Federation, Mr Chen Guoqing, Deputy President of China Building Materials Federation and President of Chinese Architectural and Industrial Glass Association, Ms. Yao Yan, Deputy President of Chinese Ceramic Society, Mr. Peng Shou, Deputy President of Chinese Ceramic Society, Mr. Jin Zhanpin, Deputy President and Secretary-General of Chinese Ceramic Society, and leaders of related organizations from Italy, German, USA, etc. This glass exhibition covers the entire spectrum of the glass industry, including glass products, glass processing technology and machinery, diversified daily-use glass and their manufacturing machinery. Especially, new technology and products related to smart, low energy consuming and efficient production were eyecatching points. This grand event attracted leading manufacturers and companies of glass industry worldwide, both famous transnational enterprises and middle and small-sized emerging companies made a stage pose at CHINA GLASS 2017. This exhibition set 3 national pavilions at Hall E1 and Hall E2, which were individually organized by Italy ICE, GIMAV-VITRUM and BMWI, Germany VDMA and American Dame Associates Inc. Several companies from Russia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Egypt participated in the event for the first time. It reflects the optimistic expectations and more attentions from foreign enterprises to China’s glass industry. As the most significant exhibition in the global glass community in 2017, CHINA GLASS 2017 has always focused on following the tide to meet the hot demands and paying attention to the trend of the industry. This event featured a high-profile conference – Forum on New Glass Technology and Application in Architecture. Numerous authoritative insiders and experts spoke on application of innovation in the fields of building glass and architectural ornament, glass design creativity and processing technology during the forum period. Forum attendees conducted in-depth discussions on themes of energysaving and emission-reduction of glass industry. Ten technical seminars were held during the four-day exhibition. Topics covered included development of German Industrial 4.0, heat insulation energy saving technology, full tempering vacuum glass production, oxy-fuel tableware furnace with novel oxygen and natural gas preheating technology, new trend of glass artistic decoration and laser cutting technology for glass processing. As one of the two dominant exhibitions in glass industry, CHINA GLASS will continue to respond to the policy of reducing excessive production capacity and promoting structural reform of the supply side, supporting technical exchanges of the glass community, and helping domestic and foreign manufacturers to expand markets and promote international economic trade, and will bring the best platform of brand presence, technical exchanges and business talks for global glass community. We anxiously await our next gathering in CHINA GLASS 2018, which will take place in Shanghai New International Expo Centre on April 19, 2018.
