GB Can Now Be Accessed On Your Smartphone

Keeping pace with the enviable growth of the glass industry, Glass Bulletin has grown too. And in our endeavor to serve this industry better and adapt to its modern day needs, Glass Bulletin recently launched the ‘Glass Bulletin App’.

Against the backdrop of China Glass 2017 exhibition in Beijing, Glass Bulletin took the opportunity to launch its app for mobile platforms, which will not only complement our quarterly magazine, but will be more. The app will keep users updated with the latest news of the global glass industry in real-time. Also, it enhances accessibility as your Glass Bulletin will now be available at the touch of a button on your smartphone at your comfort. On May 24, 2017, Glass Bulletin, in association with Red Carpet Tours, organised a gala dinner on the sidelines of the China Glass 2017 exhibition. The get-together attended, by the pioneers of the glass industry, provided the perfect platform we expected to launch our app from. It was an amazing evening made possible by Red Carpet Tours, which deserves special mention here. Over 200 esteemed guests attended the event, including a 150 member group that came with Red Carpet. With this, Red Carpet led the largest group tour in China Glass for the third consecutive year. All guests attending the event expressed their satisfaction with the services provided. Among the honchos of the industry attending the event were Mrs Birgit Horn, director of Glasstech, Germany, and Mr Thomas Schlitt, India head at Messe Düsseldorf.

The evening would not have been possible without the support of the sponsors – Hanjiang, SGU Glasstech and Bhambra Glass Concepts. It was because of them that the gala dinner was such a successful event. During the evening, Hanjiang and SGU Glasstech made presentations that were well-received by the attendees. Hanjiang introduced their latest product range which they put on display at China Glass 2017. SGU Glasstech also followed suit and made a detailed presentation about their products. An evening like this is good for the glass industry. Glass Bulletin thrives to give the industry a platform to interact and promote healthy business practices. This was another occasion where GB did just that and at the same time added another feather to its cap by being the first Indian journal for the glass industry to launch an app of its own. The evening was a grand success and was followed by dinner and drinks. Glass Bulletin would like to take this opportunity to thank the organisers of China Glass 2017 for the excellent booth position at the exhibition grounds. This was GB’s ninth consecutive year of participation at China Glass, and as GB grows, there are many more to come.
