The biggest glass event in the Middle East, Gulf Glass 2017, scripted a huge success and Glass Bulletin was there to witness the massive event.
In response to the increasing demands of sustainable building practices in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, glass was brought to the forefront of trading at upcoming Gulf Glass exhibition in September. The event showed clear signs of growth. The footfall of exhibitors and visitors showed significant increase over its last edition. The event has become bigger than it was previously. Gulf Glass took place from 25-27 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The show features over 190 regional and international exhibiting brands and facilitated business networking interactions, which will help industry professionals in keeping updated with trends and opportunities in the market. This was the second time Glass Bulletin, India’s premier journal for the global glass industry, participated in Gulf Glass. GB was offered a booth of about 7mx2m, where the top players of the industry from India and abroad dropped by. Gulf Glass 2017 registered a 10 per cent increase in footfall of visitors from its last edition in 2015. Over 5,500 visitors and exhibitors graced the event with their presence. The exhibition saw a contracts worth 2.59 United Arab Emirates Dirham. Gulf Glass 2017 exhibition was spread across an area of about 4,229 square metres. Over 22 countries took part in the event. Gulf Glass 2017 was organised by dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa to supplement the needs of the glass industry in the Middle East. Having scripted a huge success once again, the organiser has set the dates for the next edition of Gulf Glass as September 25- 27, 2019, at the same venue – Dubai World Trade Centre.
