Gold Plus proudly announces the start of production of its second Float Line on January 16, 2018, effectively increasing its capacity from 470 TPD to 1170 TPD.

Gold Plus announced the firing of the furnace on December 17, 2017, at its Roorkee plant in Uttarakhand. With this line, Gold Plus significantly increased its production capacity which in turn is a huge development for the Indian glass industry as a whole Gold Plus will now produce a product range to cover all kinds of tinted and solar- reflective glasses along with the existing clear glass range. The first truly Indian float glass manufacturer, Gold Plus Glass Industry Ltd, now becomes the second largest float glass producer of India. The Unit II, which envisages installation of high-end technologydriven float Line with a specially designed furnace for making tinted and reflective float glass, heralds a new beginning for the manufacturing sector in India, especially in the production of glass and allied processed products. This augments the Indian production-and-processing of glass for commercial and industrial use within and outside the country. The Gold Plus production facility at Roorkee is spread across a vast area of nearly 4.5million sq feet. The specially-designed Gold Plus furnace (Unit II) for the manufacture of tinted float glass is capable of producing 700 tonne per day (TPD) of superfine quality tinted and reflective float glass. With the installation of Unit II, the product range and quality of international-standard glass and processed products will enhance manifold. Gold Plus manufactures float glass, architectural and industrial glass, automotive glass, frosted glass, lacquered glass and special glasses such as magic glass, acoustic glass, burglaryresistant and bullet-resistant glass. Mr Subhash Tyagi, the founder- Chairman of ‘Gold Plus Glass Industry Limited’, started the company in 1996. In 2009, under his leadership, Gold Plus became the first truly Indian company producing international quality float glass. He served as the president of the All India Glass Manufacturers’ Federation (AIGMF) from April 2013 to March 2014. Mr Suresh Tyagi, Managing Director, currently looks after the existing manufacturing units of Gold Plus. He attributed Gold Plus’ success in all its ventures to the indomitable trust and confidence reposed by business associates in the glass industry countrywide, including dealers, traders and distributors.
