Schmalz India inaugurates administrative complex in Pune

A State-Of-The-Art Facility Spread Over 3700 Sq Metres And Accommodates All Departments

The new administration building of Schmalz India was inaugurated in Pune on November 4th 2017, by Mr Roland S Folger, MD & CEO of Mercedez Benz India Pvt. Ltd. The new facility is a state-of-theart structure providing a better working environment for the employees. The building is spread over an area of 3700 square metres and accommodates all the departments.

The event kicked off with inauguration of the plaque followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony by Mr Folger in the presence of the Managing Director & CEOs of various reputed companies. It was followed by a short tour of the building led by Mr Philip J Mani, MD, Schmalz India. During the tour, the invitees had the opportunity go around the production facility and witness live demonstration of various products of Schmalz. Schmalz manufactures products for material handling using Vacuum Technology and is the world leader is providing vacuum components for automation, vacuum clamping and vacuum handling systems. Mr Folger spoke about his experience with Schmalz and its products, and congratulated the team for making this investment to serve the customers. He further mentioned he was “impressed with the level of expertise, dedication and commitment put in by Schmalz to enhance the satisfaction level of customers in the market”. The association of Schmalz and Mercedez in India dates back to 2009 when Schmalz sold its first Jib Crane to latter. At the same time, Mr Folger spoke about the products and services offered by Schmalz to other plants of Mercedez around the world. Mr S M Jacob, General Manager, gave a short presentation with regard to Schmalz’s journey of 17 years in India. Schmalz India started at a rented premise of 75 square metres in Hyderabad and then shifted to Pune in 2003 to its own building. Its material handling using vacuum technology is very well accepted in the Indian industry. Schmalz is constantly engaged in innovation and upgradation of its products.
