Pace Of Development Of Market Encourages New Investment
Borosil, which has been operating an AEROFLAT furnace from LiSEC since last year, has signed another contract with the latter for a second tempering furnace.
Borosil’s Vice-Chairman Mr Kharuka and Wholetime Director Mr Ramaswami signed the contract for the new tempering furnace with LiSEC Sales Director Christian Krenn against the backdrop of Intersolar, a trade show in Munich. The fast pace of development of the market and the increasing demand of tempered glass encouraged Borosil to make this investment. The tempering furnace Borosil commissioned is an AEROFL AT 12/714FT2. This plant is designed for tempering 2 mm thin glass. The specialty about this acquisition is that LiSEC drives a development project forward together with the customer. The project’s aim is to increase the output of glass elements per hour. The new plant should be put in operation at Borosil in March 2019. Talking about the new development, Krenn said: “Borosil has once again opted for LiSEC. On the one hand they ensure that processes are the same and they don’t have to gain knowledge to operate a new plant. On the other hand, they rely on a supplier and partner who will accompany them long-term and hence confirm that they are satisfied with the so far delivered products and services”
