Intermac is a 30-year-old Biesse Group division that handles the production and sale of equipment and systems for machining glass, stone and metal. The company will be exhibiting at glasspro India 2019.

Established in Pesaro (Italy) in 1987 by Giancarlo Selci, it rapidly managed to achieve a leadership position in the sectors it operates in and has earned the trust of successful companies that operate in a variety of industrial sectors, from construction to interior design and from the automotive to the aviation industry. Thanks to its presence in India (Bangalore) as part of an extensive distribution network of branches, dealers and agents, Intermac offers attentive, personalised assistance to customers, from pre-sales consultation to post-sales and spare parts services. The majority of the brand’s manufacturing activities take place at the Intermac plant in Pesaro, where the company’s production area spans around 30,000 square metres, employing more than 300 staff and producing more than 300 working centres every year. The group designs, manufactures and distributes machines, integrated systems and software for producers of furniture, door/window frames and components for the construction, ship-building and aerospace industries.

Internationalisation has always been one of the driving forces of the group that has worked on growing its sales network with the intention of covering the global market as extensively as possible and of getting closer to the customer through the expansion of showrooms and campuses, as well as through the organization of events and by being present at the main trade fairs around the world. Biesse India represents the achievement of this objective since it was and is a strategic location for the group growing business.

Biesse’s investment in India has in fact reached 20 billion euro over the last 10 years to better serve our customers. Today, the subsidiary counts more than 600 high-skilled employees and comprises two plants at Nelamangala and Makali that make up a sprawling space of 30,000 plus square meters, equipped with the most advanced minds, machinery and manpower to design and manufacture the cuttingedge technology. As of 2006, Biesse has asked all departments – from technical offices to logistics – to maintain as much interaction as possible between Italy and India, to transfer all the knowhow to the subsidiary. Meetings, trainings and visits to the production plants continue today, to pursue the concept of continuous improvement.
