One of Ritec’s On-Site Applicators was in London’s West End recently to demonstrate the power of the ClearShield Eco-System^® to a refurbished building’s façade.

The mixed-use development in Marble Arch comprises of seven floors of Grade A office space that also includes shops on the ground floor. Additionally, it has been designed to achieve a BREEAM excellent environmental rating.

The problem here though was unsightly concrete run-off on the glass; this proved to be impossible to remove which was why Ritec’s expertise was called upon. To make things more difficult, accessing the windows to clean them was not straightforward due to the louvres.

Here is where the ClearShield Eco-System^® comes in. This System has been specially developed to renovate, protect and maintain glass. Once treated, the existing glass surface is upgraded to ‘non-stick’, easy-clean ClearShield Eco-Glass^®, which has several benefits:

In this instance, Ritec was confident that the System would remove the existing concrete run-off. Additionally, because ClearShield Eco-Glass^® reduces the frequency of cleaning, it means the glass does not need to be accessed as often.

Our On-Site Applicator got to work and renovated and protected parts of the building’s glass to demonstrate the System in action. He was able to, as expected, remove the run-off and got the glass looking as good as new. The application of Ritec ClearShield^®, the protective element of the ClearShield Eco-System^®, meant any future contaminants including any building run-off would be easier to remove. This demonstration impressed the client and we hope to hear from them again soon for more extensive treatment.
