The WEPs, established by United Nations, aim to empower women to take part in every aspect of society and the economy in all industries and at all levels. As a signatory to the WEPs, Sisecam will further emphasize the importance of gender equality for its entire ecosystem and deploy its resources to make a difference.
As part of its sustainability strategy CareforNext, Sisecam prioritizes equality, diversity, and inclusion in its value chain as part of its commitments under the pillar of ‘Empower Society.’ Sisecam adapts its factory standards to women in order to support their participation in the workforce in all areas of its operations. In addition, Sisecam aims to inspire women in managerial roles with mentoring activities and accelerate the improvement of women’s effectiveness with training courses under its “Women Expression” program. Sisecam is committed to boosting the percentage of female employees at the company from 24.2% in 2023 to over 25% in a short period of time. As a signatory to the WEPs, Sisecam will further emphasize the importance of gender equality for its entire ecosystem and use its resources to make a difference.
